BioMérieux’s Webinars Case Study

BioMérieux’s Webinars Case Study

BioMérieux needed a way to continue to offer educational and informative webinars to their audience.

About BioMérieux

BioMérieux develops and produces in vitro diagnostic solutions (systems, reagents, software, and services) for private and hospital laboratories, mainly for the diagnosis of infectious diseases. The results obtained from a patient sample (blood, urine, stool, cerebrospinal fluid, saliva, etc.) provide doctors with information to support their decisions. For 25 years, BioMérieux has also applied the expertise acquired in the clinical sector to meet industrial microbiology needs, making it possible to manage contamination risks in agri-food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic products, at each step of the production chain.

BioMérieux’s Mission

What They Needed: Move Their Multiple Webinars And Symposiums To A Virtual Space

BioMérieux was one of our first clients for Vario that we partnered with early in the pandemic that needed to transition from holding multiple in-person webinars and symposiums to a virtual space. In the past, they would offer multiple webinars and symposiums to their internal company employees, and to a wide variety of clinicians and faculty at various locations throughout the globe, with the opportunity to receive P.A.C.E. credits to satisfy continuing education requirements for their attendees. BioMérieux needed a way to continue to offer educational and informative webinars to their audience, while still providing the opportunity for satisfying continuing education requirements, all within a space that was similar to their own company organization.

What We Provided: A Virtual Platform That Enabled Them To Offer Webinars + Symposiums With Full Accreditation Tracking

From the virtual platform side, we helped create an enhanced platform for users to navigate through. We offered multiple different webinars and symposiums throughout the year, each with its own agenda and session page, where registrants could sign up for the various events and view them happening live, and on-demand once the event concluded. Each session’s attendance list was provided in detailed analytics to the client including the name and contact information for each attendee, as well as how long they spent time on the platform viewing either the on-demand or live event session, in order to fulfill the requirements for receiving P.A.C.E. credits for that session.

After the presentation was concluded, there would be a Question and Answer session where audience members could submit questions that the host would read to the speaker to be answered.

On the production side, most events would have one or two main speakers, and then a host to emcee the event. Speaker’s presentations would either be recorded before the event and played back for the live audience, or be presented live depending on the availability of the speakers and their schedule. Event sessions would typically have the host present live to the virtual audience, introduce the topic and the speaker, then we would play either the recorded presentation or have the speaker present live.

After the presentation was concluded, there would be a Question and Answer session where audience members could submit questions that the host would read to the speaker to be answered. High-level learning and the solidification of key points from the presentation were addressed with audience participation during these Question and Answer sessions.
