Demands for high speed internet have hit a fever pitch in today’s fast-paced, bandwidth chugging environment. Event applications are more robust than ever, consuming user’s cellular data packages and causing unwanted overages on mobile phone bills for both clients and companies. In addition, most registration areas and staff support lounges will require high speed internet for assisting with basic job functions, as well as up-to-the-second tracking of attendees.

With these applications requesting more input from on-demand, cloud-based services, almost every conference will require some form of supplemental bandwidth via in-house or contracted WiFi or hard-line connection.

While Vario offers satellite and microwave based Internet solutions to outdoor venues, most venue spaces, and all hotels will require supplemental Internet services be contracted through their in-house A/V company, period. While fees for such services can often be negotiated down, or removed entirely, if you are left footing the bill for bandwidth it is important to make an educated decision as to how much is enough, so as not to overpay for this necessary commodity.
